A very beautiful Regency period Egyptian Revival pier mirror in a duck egg blue colour with 22ct gold leaf parcel gilt decoration. Although it has been restored it has been done in such a way as to maintain its authenticity and character.
To the sides it has a sphinx head, below that are carved and gilt acanthus leaf mounts, below that there are two tapered and fluted columns finishing in a pair of gilt feet on either side. The panel above the mirror has a releif scene of a shepherd, his sheep and a maiden all underneath a bright star.
