A stunning low sword chest made of solid walnut and retaining its original patinated finish. The top is of simple 3-plank construction which is held up when opened by an enclosed bar prop, the coffer is hinged on the original wrought iron eyelet hinges. It does have wear and signs of use, also around the legs there are areas of historic woodworm and small loses but nothing that detracts from the item. This coffer is the perfect height for a coffee table.
